Have a completed draft? I recommend you begin your quest here with a manuscript evaluation. There’s a lot to the craft of writing that must be learned, practiced and refined. It’s often difficult to see our own mistakes and we can become blind to the flaws that are effectively hiding within our writing. Without another set of eyes to review and critique our work, we risk mediocrity in our stories.
This package includes an evaluation of your full manuscript. I will assess the foundational elements of your story including structure, plot, theme, character, market and genre expectations, and writing craft technique. This package does not include inline comments on your manuscript.
You will submit: A project intake questionnaire, a one-page book summary and your full manuscript
You will receive: One 30-minute discovery session to get to know each other and discuss your manuscript; an editorial letter of a maximum of ten (10) pages discussing your manuscript’s strengths, weaknesses and next steps; and one 90-minute feedback session to discuss your editorial letter

Only have a few chapters written or are on a budget? Then I recommend an opening pages assessment. This package includes a thorough evaluation of the first fifty (50) pages of your manuscript, an editorial letter of a maximum of five (5) pages and inline comments on ten (10) pages of your submission. I’ll provide feedback on big picture topics, such as how well you’ve drawn the reader into the story and how quickly and clearly you introduce the problem that will drive the story forward. The inline comments will provide specific feedback on where and how you can improve your work. The idea being you will take what you learned and apply it to the rest of the manuscript.
